Over in the land of hole-y cheese the Saas Fee Freeride was cancelled for this summer due to “unusual” weather patterns… The man behind last year’s “Roots” film, Lasse Nevantausta sat down to talk about the new film “Face Shot” (apparently he’s changed genres) with the guys over at Downdays.eu… Famed mountain man Jack Carey passed away over the weekend, biglines.com has more info and a nice tribute video… Someone tried to steal Black Diamond’s diamonds… ESPN’s X Games franchise finally made it official, announcing that for the first time ever an X Games competition will be held outside of the Good ‘Ol US of A, global.skipass.com (and others) is reporting it will be held at Tignes, March 8-12… While the mountains in NZ never get too much snow, apparently the club hills are where the pow is… Check out pics and specs of some of next years boards before the gear guides start showing up… Here’s one reason to watch the Tour de Fance… Cody Marshall is reportedly doing better after his accident, you can follow his progress here.
